Reverse Funnel System Causes Phone to Ring Off the Hook

The person on the other end is often a Global Resorts Network Member Affiliate who joined and got involved by way of Ty Coughlin’s Reverse Funnel System. There are 4 common issues they want to talk about regardless of who they are.  Here they are:

Issue Number 1:  They joined Global Resorts Network through the Reverse Funnel System (most at least 2 months prior) and can’t get their sponsor/upline to communicate with them.  They don’t know who to turn to or where to go to solve their abandonment problem.  Some have never once been in touch with them.

Issue Number 2:  They are told by their sponsor that the only way to market Global Resorts Network, and, the only way they will be taught to market, is on how to use The Reverse Funnel System.  No other help or assistance is available and if they cannot accept that, then they are left to die on the vine.  They are told to get on the weekly calls, place more ads, spend more money and stop complaining.

Issue Number 3:  They are confused about the relationship between the Reverse Funnel System and Global Resorts Network and believe they are one in the same.  They can’t afford the monthly fees of the RFS and advertising costs and are afraid to cancel the RFS because they think they are cancelling their GRN Membership.  They have a difficult time separating the two entities.  They are relieved when I tell them they can cancel the RFS, that it’s just a marketing tool and has no bearing on their Global Resorts Membership.

Issue Number 4  They have tried to market the RFS as they are instructed on the training calls, have spent thousands of dollars and countless hours of sitting in front of their computer finding where to place ads which has only resulted in massive debt, frustration and desperation. 

What’s amazing to me is that in every case, their sponsors are not offering one on one mentoring and coaching or other options for them and they feel like they’ve been forgotten and not cared about. They are told it’s the Reverse Funnel System or nothing in terms of marketing.  They are angry and sick and tired of the whole thing.

In every case, 100% of the time, these individuals have tracked me down through my videos and website and are looking desperately for help and guidance.  They see the value of the Global Resorts Network home business opportunity and love the product, however, they badly want out of the Reverse Funnel System and out of the monthly liability.  They feel uncared for, abandoned, mislead, trapped and hung out to dry, as they put it themselves.  They are seeking mentoring, coaching, help of any kind and are looking for ways to get out from underneath their sponsor who they didn’t choose in the first place.

Now, while I personally don’t care for the Reverse Funnel Marketing System based on the misleading information in the sales letter, the follow up emails and the underlying trickery, I would never tell a business partner not to use it.  That’s not my place or decision.  I can only make decisions for what I do and don’t do in terms of marketing for  my own business.  However, I would tell any GRN Member Affiliate if they are going to use it, to do so responsibly and plan on being a true mentor, coach and business partner to their new enrollees, regardless of whether their new partner chooses to use the RFS or not.

Global Resorts Network is the business, the Reverse Funnel System is just a marketing tool.  Any GRN Affiliate Member should have the freedom to market their business any way they can within the company’s guidelines and they deserve to have a sponsor that cares enough to coach and mentor their business partners.  GRN Member Affiliates should not be punished if they choose to not market my way of the Reverse Funnel System.

The problem all starts here.  The Reverse Funnel System doesn’t allow you to choose your sponsor and many who are new to the industry have no clue that they can shop for sponsor.  People seeking to generate money from home get sucked into the drama and representations of the RFS and are stuck with a complete stranger as a sponsor.  Often times they are have no choice but to just quit because they have no direction, no help, no nothing.  Some attempt to transfer which I never, ever recommend except as a last ditch effort to save your business.  Some have been released to transferred, while others have been refused and as a result, they quit the business and their dreams.   

So, while I love my phone ringing, I wish it wasn’t so much these desperate people looking for any kind of help and direction.  They are hard working men and women, from young twenties to late seniors, married and single, all trying to establish themselves in business to make a better life. 

To those who have been backed into a corner with the RFS and a sponsor that doesn’t care, don’t give up on your dreams.  Check my blog regularly as more and more I will post about various marketing strategies that you will find helpful.  Be resourceful and seek coaching outside of your sponsor.  Don’t let a bad sponsor steal your dreams.

Starting your own business from home? One word: Outsource!

Starting your own business from home can lead to time and financial freedom.  After all, isn’t that why one generally is interested in a business to start with?  Your own business allows you to take back a great deal of time freedom when you learn how to spend a few focused hours a day on your work and then the rest of the day belongs to you.

Don’t Advertise your Global Resorts Network Business: Someone Might Call You and want to Join

Do you have desire to succeed in your home business but you’re terrified to advertise for fear that someone may call you and want to join with you? Sound strange? Maybe, but it happens all the time.

Those who are new to the home based business arena, and even some not so new, sometimes struggle with fears they have which hold them back from implementing the simplest tasks.

Do you know people who are always getting ready to get ready to start doing something? It’s these people I’m talking about. They do busy work. They straighten up their desk, they study, they get a notebook, they do busy work, but not money generating activities. They won’t make phone calls, or place ads, or hand out business cards. Here are a few reasons why and certainly the list is much longer.

1) They are embarrassed about the product and/or service they are selling
2) They don’t fully believe in their product or service
3) They are not confident in themselves in the least
4) They fear leadership, not measuring up

Can you imagine someone investing $700K into a brick and mortar business and being afraid to advertise? Being afraid to open their doors for fear that someone may come in and ask a question about their product or service? Being ashamed and embarrassed about the product or service they offer? Heaven’s NO.

So, why do people act that way in a home based business? Too many people say they want to have a business but in reality they don’t have what it takes. They are unable to assess whether a business has value or not. Maybe they aren’t prepared mentally, perhaps they chose the wrong business model and don’t know how to get out of it.

Most affiliate or home based business products on the market, while they may be good, are simply overpriced. It’s embarrassing to ask someone to pay x amount of dollars for their product to compensate for all the commissions that have to be paid from that purchase. So, the business owner does nothing to advertise or promote and doesn’t feel good about himself.

Many people buy into a home business based on hype, drama and all the money that can be made rather than examine the product to make sure it’s a true product and something of great value to the consumer. There are home based businesses on the market today that sell a bunch of nothing and wrap it up in a way that leads one to believe the product is out of this world. It’s not until the business owner tries to use the product that he/she discovers its really worthless. Now a belief problem sets in and as a result, the business owner does nothing to advertise or promote and doesn’t feel good about the decision he/she made to join.

A whole new set of problems arise when a new business owner lacks confidence in their business. They don’t advertise or do anything to promote for fear that someone may call them and ask a question they won’t know the answer to. It’s safer for them to do nothing than to risk being made out to feel like a fool. This is simply a fear of rejection and a lack of confidence. Outside counseling and coaching along with personal development can resolve this problem.

Fear of leadership often causes a new home based business owner to not advertise and promote. They recognize that if someone wants to join their business with them, they are thrown into a leadership position. It’s the blind leading the blind syndrome. That’s why it’s so important that upline sponsors be available to train the new business partners and their new business partners at the same time. Make sure there’s training in place so the new business partners can be comfortable advertising their business knowing that they are not in this by themselves.

New business owners may make up excuses as to why they don’t get started, always blaming it on anything but themselves. They may not even understand what’s holding them back. But, rest assured, there’s an underlying fear of rejection in all of these. Individuals who find themselves making excuses why they can’t get started in business may need to sit down and start making a list of very real issues. Finding the root problem and doing something about it can make the difference between struggling all their lives or living their life to the fullest.

Don’t Let Fear of Failure Get in the way of Starting Your Own Business from Home

Growing up we all learned specific behaviors and ideas based on the opinions of others. Our parents, grandparents, school teachers, Sunday School teachers, coaches, just anyone and everyone who had a part in our upbringing. From the time we were born, we began filing the information in our sub-conscience and now as adults we have specific ideas about ourselves and how we relate to everything in life. Money and success are a couple.

These very belief systems cause us to fearful of going after what you want, even in considering how to start a business from home. We don’t even explore the options.

So many people deep down want to have so much more in life but clearly are held back by belief systems they developed over the years. Here are a couple common belief systems that do not serve us, just to name a few:

1) I’m not good enough
2) Money is bad
3) I’m stupid
4) I can’t learn
5) Success is only for a certain class or breed of people
6) I’ve failed in the past, so I’m destined for failure my whole life

Where on earth did we start thinking like this? When we were born, God gave us all the characteristics and desires for success in life. Think about it. Here are some commonalities in small children, just to name a few:

1) Doesn’t hold a grudge
2) Takes risks
3) No fear of anything
4) Loves to talk to people
5) Show no prejudices
6) When they fall, they get back up and try again
7) They believe they can be anything when they grow up
8) Forgives instantly

At what point did all this change? Who was responsible for the change? Our fears are based on years of hearing the wrong stuff that sets us up for failure as adults. Even in high schools for the most part, business ownership is not taught. The diploma we’re working for is based on an educational system that teaches how to be good employees. Wouldn’t it be nice if teenagers could learn the concepts on how to start a small business from home.

A really good book that discusses our money blueprint and belief systems is called “The Secrets of the Millionaire Mind”, by T. Harv Eker. Once we can identify our money blueprint and files in our sub-conscience mind that don’t serve us, then we know what files to change so we can achieve that success we so desire.

If you’re seriously interested in starting your own business from home, understand that personal development (the inner self, the mindset) is the foundation, the cornerstone, if you will, of your success. Many times this personal development is completely ignored, however, it’s exactly what keeps our head in the game during tough times.

There’s great freedom in running a business from your home, being available to your family and friends, to the community and to yourself, enjoying life and not worrying about paying the bills. The rewards of overcoming fears to achieve time and financial freedom are so worth it. It’s not easy, but it’s worth it for those who desire it badly enough. A great place to start would be to make a list of all the fears keeping you back then identify where the fear is rooted so you can begin to deal with it.
