Global Resorts Network Leader Debbie Turner Defines Success Part 3

Defining Success:  Making a difference in the lives of other people in a way that really counts.

I’m doing a series on how I define success personally.  I’m often asked if I’ve been successful in my Global Resorts Network home based business and I have to say yes but for many reasons, not just the money.

Money isn’t everything, but it does rank in the financial area of my life certainly.  However, money does not define who I am or what I’m about.

In this series, I hope that I’m able to share with you all the ways that I define success which my Global Business has provided.

Today’s video is on giving to others.  Sometimes money, sometimes gifts, sometimes times.  I believe when we can allow ourselves to forget about ourselves and focus on others, our problems can seem so insignificant.

In this video I talk about just having visited a camp for very ill children. It’s called Courageous Kids Camp.  I am sending a portion of all my Global Resorts Network home based business profits to help support the camp.  No child or family ever has to pay to come.   This is a camp for kids with life-threatening diseases and in some cases are terminally ill.  For one week, they get to come here and be normal.  They are like all the other kids.

The camp is actually a hospital disquised as a camp.  Doctors and nurses run around in camp clothes.  The walls are painted blue, the hospital beds are drapped with quilts and teddy bears.  It’s just unbelieveable and it’s supported by donations.

I was delivering scrapbooks that friends of mine and myself made to leave with each camper to put their camp pictures in and take home.  It was very emotional for me to see the facilities and see how important this camp is to these children and their families.

My daughter Ashley and myself will be coming back to Scottsville, KY next summer and spend a couple weeks volunteering.

Success?  Absolutely.  Anytime you can touch someone in a time of need, it makes all the difference to them.  Being able to help both in my time and finances are just one way I define success.
