If you’re a home based business leader or have a team of any size, you understand the time and exhaustive energy it takes to train your team. Especially the ones that seem to need a repeat over and over again. Do you fantasize about having a training platform already done for you and branding you as the leader you are? It plays right along with Timothy Ferriss’s The 4 Hour Work Week. Outsource it for pennies (and even free) and be the hero of training for your team. You can have your cake and eat it too.
Network marketing is an industry filled with individuals who are constantly seeking out training and information, specifically, the “know-how” of positioning themselves online allowing prospects to find them. That’s why they’re in business after all, to make money. Here’s what lacking:
Getting free leads and traffic to their websites.
Being able to stand out from all the other competitors.
The “know-how” to do those two things.
Not going broke trying to get there.
This leaves the home based business leader with a daily schedule filled with appointments doing one on one coaching as well as team trainings demonstrating the same things over and over again on how to implement marketing strategies. The business owner has less and less time to follow up with the leads he/she has which impacts the bottom line and total overall growth of their personal business.
I’m not suggesting that home based business leaders stop providing one on one coaching as there’s tremendous value in offering yourself and taking a personal interest in the success of your team members. However, if you’re seeking ways to leverage your training time yet still making sure your team members are well taken care of, leaving 90% of the training to someone else just may be the solution you’re looking for. When deciding on a training platform, you want to look for high quality and professionalism all the way around. After all, if your team members fall in the wrong hands, your business will suffer. Important criteria to consider for training platforms is listed below, all of which you can create on your own if you so choose or, use one already established:
Affordable for everyone. Have a back up plan if someone on your team can’t afford an outside training platform. Be willing to work one on one with those or offer an alternative source.
Training should be visual (video), training manuals just don’t cut it for everyone.
Support staff behind the training site should be quick to respond to students.
Active ongoing webinars where students can attend in real time and ask questions.
Marketing should be relevant to the times, meaning what’s working and popular now. Having a site filled with out dated ineffective strategies is not what your business partners need. Keep them up to date on the newest and best strategies to implement.
System should offer a way for students to offset the hard cost of training. This can be done through affiliate marketing.
System should provide a platform for students to be able to make sales on other products while they build their primary business. This is monetizing their business which just makes good sense as it keeps them going building the primary. Attrition rates will improve for you.
System should be able to personally brand the site to them, so as their prospects go there, it positions them as the leader. This is especially important for the newbies who are learning to have posture.

Serious entrepreneurs and those Global Resorts Network home based business owners, understand that buiding a business takes time. Of course they desire to make money along the way, but establishing a solid foundation takes time simply because there’s quite a bit to put into place for long term payback and a reputation as a good business owner and leader in your field. It’s no different than a brick and mortar establishment.
Network Marketers, Internet Marketings, and all home based business owners, know the fastest way to generate leads and income is through pay per click advertising and if one has the cash flow to be able to do that, it’s what I recommend. Then, in addition to that, begin to set your foundation. If a business owner does not have cash flow for this, then they simply need to understand and accept that it’s a slower build and to jump right in with setting the foundation.
It’s important to begin to establish a name and reputation in your industry. You want to establish authority as an expert and be the person that prospects call when they come across you and are looking for someone to answer questions and join with.
So, what kinds of things should you put in place to establish this presence online that tells people you’re the leader they’re looking for? There’s many things you can do, here are some strong recommendations:
Set up profiles on social sites where people hang out (such as MySpace, Facebook, Squidoo, Hub Pages, Twitter and others)
Set up a blog where you can share your opinion, personal information and stories, information about your industry.
Implement video marketing, meaning make videos to communicate with your prospects.
Have a professional resume posted so when people search your name, you come to the top of the search engines and allow people to know what your about.
Submit articles and press releases with links in your author box to your websites and optin pages.
You then want to go back and improve over time, your content, making adjustments to your profiles and ad content to improve your ratings and standings in the community.
Wow, this sounds like a lot to do! Well, on the surface it does, however, like all new business owners, you take one step at a time and over the course of a year, you’ll have your pieces in place at which time you want to keep tabs on your marketing, and continue to add content to your blog, add new lenses to squidoo, submit a couple articles every month, etc.
Here’s some good news. You can outsource all these tasks if you want, or learn and do it yourself at Renegade University.
You want to learn to monetize, meaning make sales from products while you’re building your primary business. An easy way to do this is by utilizing tools, resources, and information products that offer commissions along the way. You must be sure these products provide real value to your prospects. What you offer will be a reflection of you. Take good care of your customers.

Unlike other tall buildings which only have a single observation tower enclosed by glass, the Empire State Building has two observation decks. It is one of the most popular observatories in the world. Each year, approximately 110 million people visit the Empire State Building.

The person on the other end is often a Global Resorts Network Member Affiliate who joined and got involved by way of Ty Coughlin’s Reverse Funnel System. There are 4 common issues they want to talk about regardless of who they are. Here they are:
Issue Number 1: They joined Global Resorts Network through the Reverse Funnel System (most at least 2 months prior) and can’t get their sponsor/upline to communicate with them. They don’t know who to turn to or where to go to solve their abandonment problem. Some have never once been in touch with them.
Issue Number 2: They are told by their sponsor that the only way to market Global Resorts Network, and, the only way they will be taught to market, is on how to use The Reverse Funnel System. No other help or assistance is available and if they cannot accept that, then they are left to die on the vine. They are told to get on the weekly calls, place more ads, spend more money and stop complaining.
Issue Number 3: They are confused about the relationship between the Reverse Funnel System and Global Resorts Network and believe they are one in the same. They can’t afford the monthly fees of the RFS and advertising costs and are afraid to cancel the RFS because they think they are cancelling their GRN Membership. They have a difficult time separating the two entities. They are relieved when I tell them they can cancel the RFS, that it’s just a marketing tool and has no bearing on their Global Resorts Membership.
Issue Number 4 They have tried to market the RFS as they are instructed on the training calls, have spent thousands of dollars and countless hours of sitting in front of their computer finding where to place ads which has only resulted in massive debt, frustration and desperation.
What’s amazing to me is that in every case, their sponsors are not offering one on one mentoring and coaching or other options for them and they feel like they’ve been forgotten and not cared about. They are told it’s the Reverse Funnel System or nothing in terms of marketing. They are angry and sick and tired of the whole thing.
In every case, 100% of the time, these individuals have tracked me down through my videos and website and are looking desperately for help and guidance. They see the value of the Global Resorts Network home business opportunity and love the product, however, they badly want out of the Reverse Funnel System and out of the monthly liability. They feel uncared for, abandoned, mislead, trapped and hung out to dry, as they put it themselves. They are seeking mentoring, coaching, help of any kind and are looking for ways to get out from underneath their sponsor who they didn’t choose in the first place.
Now, while I personally don’t care for the Reverse Funnel Marketing System based on the misleading information in the sales letter, the follow up emails and the underlying trickery, I would never tell a business partner not to use it. That’s not my place or decision. I can only make decisions for what I do and don’t do in terms of marketing for my own business. However, I would tell any GRN Member Affiliate if they are going to use it, to do so responsibly and plan on being a true mentor, coach and business partner to their new enrollees, regardless of whether their new partner chooses to use the RFS or not.
Global Resorts Network is the business, the Reverse Funnel System is just a marketing tool. Any GRN Affiliate Member should have the freedom to market their business any way they can within the company’s guidelines and they deserve to have a sponsor that cares enough to coach and mentor their business partners. GRN Member Affiliates should not be punished if they choose to not market my way of the Reverse Funnel System.
The problem all starts here. The Reverse Funnel System doesn’t allow you to choose your sponsor and many who are new to the industry have no clue that they can shop for sponsor. People seeking to generate money from home get sucked into the drama and representations of the RFS and are stuck with a complete stranger as a sponsor. Often times they are have no choice but to just quit because they have no direction, no help, no nothing. Some attempt to transfer which I never, ever recommend except as a last ditch effort to save your business. Some have been released to transferred, while others have been refused and as a result, they quit the business and their dreams.
So, while I love my phone ringing, I wish it wasn’t so much these desperate people looking for any kind of help and direction. They are hard working men and women, from young twenties to late seniors, married and single, all trying to establish themselves in business to make a better life.
To those who have been backed into a corner with the RFS and a sponsor that doesn’t care, don’t give up on your dreams. Check my blog regularly as more and more I will post about various marketing strategies that you will find helpful. Be resourceful and seek coaching outside of your sponsor. Don’t let a bad sponsor steal your dreams.
